3003 is a medium strength alloy that is 10% stronger than the 1000 series alloys. Although it is not heat treatable, it can be hardened by cold working. There are many temperaments to choose from. Depending on the cold working method used, mechanical properties such as strength can be improved at the expense of plasticity.
